August 23, 2022. Saratoga Capital is pleased to announce its acquisition of a strategic stake in Marinos D. Koupparis Bottling Limited (Koupparis Bottling).
Koupparis Bottling was founded in 2004 as a small factory producing bottled water from its springs outside of Kaliana, an ancient village high up in the mountains of Troodos, Cyprus, surrounded by forest with no agricultural or industrial activity.
Producing initially only plastic bottles of 5 gallons, today Koupparis Bottling offers a wide range of single use products, covering all aspects of bottled water production and sale – 0.3, 0.5, 1.5, 5, 10 and 15 litters – all of which are bottled at the water source by modern automated machinery. All products meet the highest ISO standards.
Prior to Saratoga Capital’s investment, the company’s founder had been solely responsible for a wide variety of high-importance tasks including formulation of the company’s business model and budget, as well as overall implementation of numerous initiatives.
With its investment, Saratoga Capital has implemented a strategy to support the founder’s vision with a new technology reinvestment strategy designed to spur growth and business scalability alongside the corporatization of the business.
